This guide is written by the Fleetwire team, so read it with that in mind. We've kept it honest, including where another option is the better fit.
Why operators look past FleetHQ
- The starting price. Starter is $149/mo on monthly billing ($119 billed annually). For a host with a few cars, that's a large share of what direct bookings save.
- A 7-day trial. A week is short to build a storefront, connect payments and run real bookings.
- Plan details that disagree. The pricing page lists Starter at up to 15 cars in the plan card and 5 in the comparison table, and the table leaves Turo sync off Starter.*
- Turo sync you can't inspect. FleetHQ advertises two-way, real-time Turo sync, but Turo offers hosts no public calendar API and FleetHQ doesn't say how it writes to Turo.*
- Cars only. If you also rent trailers, campers, boats or golf carts, you need a tool built for them.

Each alternative in brief
1. Fleetwire
Best for: Independent operators and Turo hosts, 1–150 vehicles. A self-serve, branded booking storefront with Stripe Identity license checks, Axle insurance verification, card-hold deposits and e-sign agreements built into checkout. Turo trips import and block your storefront, so it fits hosts building a direct channel next to Turo. No setup fee, month to month. It doesn't sell insurance to renters or run criminal background checks, and its Turo sync is one way: direct bookings aren't pushed to Turo.

2. FleetFinesse
Best for: Mixed fleets: cars, boats, ATVs and equipment. Published pricing and a quick website builder, with broad multi-asset support. A good fit if you rent several kinds of things from one tool; lighter on the car-rental trust stack and Turo workflow. Full comparison: Fleetwire vs FleetFinesse.
3. HQ Rental Software
Best for: Traditional multi-location agencies wanting paid onboarding. Deep back office for airport-counter and franchise-style operations, with rate codes, agent workflows and many locations. The setup fee buys hands-on configuration and staff training. Full comparison: Fleetwire vs HQ Rental Software.
4. Rent Centric
Best for: Established agencies and dealerships wanting a guided rollout. A mature, sales-assisted platform covering rental agencies, car sharing, dealer loaners and subscriptions, with keyless entry, DMV license checks, insurance verification and an API. A fit for operators who want one full-service, sales-led vendor. Full comparison: Fleetwire vs Rent Centric.
5. RentSyst
Best for: Established fleets of 50+, especially in Europe. Published per-vehicle pricing that gets cheaper at scale, deep GPS through its telematics suite, and fines and violations workflows. EU-centric, with euro pricing. Full comparison: Fleetwire vs RentSyst.
6. Booqable
Best for: Equipment, party, AV and bike rental. Strong for quantity-tracked inventory and a polished website builder (a paid add-on*). It has no renter ID or insurance verification and no Turo sync, so it suits gear rental better than cars. Full comparison: Fleetwire vs Booqable.
When to stay on FleetHQ
If you want insurance sold to renters at checkout through Bonzah or Inshur, criminal background checks, an AI agent answering renters, or a team that builds your website for you, FleetHQ bundles all of that, and at 16 to 75 cars its Professional plan is competitively priced. The alternatives above are for operators who want a lower price for a small fleet, a longer trial, or more than cars.

FAQ
What is the best FleetHQ alternative for a Turo host?

How much does FleetHQ cost?
As of October 2026, Starter is $149/mo ($119 billed annually) and Professional is $249/mo ($199 annually), with custom pricing above 75 cars and a 7-day trial. Confirm vehicle limits with FleetHQ, since its pricing page lists two different sets.
Is FleetHQ the same as HQ Rental Software?
No. FleetHQ (fleethq.io) is a separate company focused on Turo hosts. HQ Rental Software is a traditional agency system; see HQ Rental Software alternatives.
Which FleetHQ alternatives sync with Turo?

Can I move from FleetHQ to Fleetwire?
Yes. Fleetwire migrates vehicles, customers and your calendar for free on Standard and Premium plans, usually within a day or two.
